1. Data controller

The data controller of this website is the operator of https://event2share.com. For any privacy-related questions or data requests, contact: contact@event2share.com.

2. What data we collect

Event content: photos, videos and comments uploaded by users to specific events.
Uploader identity: the name and (when applicable) the email that a user provides.
Access requests: name, email, and stated reason submitted through the "Request access" form.
Session cookies: a first-party cookie is used to keep you logged into an unlocked event during your visit. A cookie may also remember your display name so you don't have to retype it.
Server logs: the hosting provider may record standard access logs (IP address, timestamp, user agent) for security and diagnostic purposes.

3. Legal basis for processing (GDPR)

Consent: when you upload media, post a comment, or send an access request, you explicitly submit the data.
Legitimate interest: keeping server logs to prevent abuse and maintain the service.

4. Photos and videos of people

Media uploaded to this platform may show identifiable people. By uploading, you declare that:

You own or have the right to share the content.
You have obtained the necessary consent from the people appearing in the media, where applicable.
You will not upload content involving minors without the consent of their legal guardians.

If you appear in a photo or video and want it removed, contact the event organizer or contact@event2share.com. We will process removal requests promptly.

5. Retention

Event content is retained as long as the event itself exists on the platform, at the discretion of the event manager or the site administrator. Access requests are retained for up to 12 months for auditing purposes and then anonymized or deleted. Session cookies expire when your browser closes; the display-name cookie expires after 12 months.

6. Sharing with third parties

Hosting provider: content is stored on our hosting server (currently Banahost / BanaHosting).
Map service: when you view the map, tiles are loaded from OpenStreetMap. Their servers may log the request.
We do not sell your data. We do not use it for advertising.

7. Your rights (GDPR)

If you are located in the European Union, you have the right to access, rectify, delete, restrict or port your personal data, and to object to processing. To exercise any of these rights, email contact@event2share.com. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with your national data protection authority (in Spain: AEPD — Agencia Española de Protección de Datos).

8. Security

Traffic is encrypted with HTTPS. Private events require a password. Media served through this site is delivered via a permission-checked script, not directly. However, no online service is 100% secure; use judgment when sharing sensitive content.

9. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. The "Last updated" date at the top reflects the latest revision.
